Learn to Skate lessons are open to persons age 3 and above, including adults.  Beginners and those with experience are invited to participate, and groups are based on age and ability.  Lessons include 30 minutes of group instruction and 15 minutes of practice skating.  Using the United States Figure Skating Association’s (USFSA) Basic Skills Program, professional skating instructors will teach and/or reinforce proper skating form. An Eau Claire Figure Skating Club skater will often assist the instructors. Badges are awarded for successful completion of each skill level.

We will again be implementing the “Snow Plow Sam” program for our youngest skaters.  This program introduces preliminary skating moves in a fun atmosphere, allowing the young skaters to progress more quickly through badge levels.

REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDES:  Instruction, ice time, USFSA Basic Skills Book, enrollment in the USFSA Basic Skills Program, and official USFSA badges.  (No refunds are given for missed lessons.)  For more information you may contact

Any skaters who wish to skate more can now add Junior Club time to their Learn to Skate lessons.  (Call Kim Winklemann 715-874-5297 or email  kwinkelmann5297@charter.net for more information.)
